On January 20th, the head of the city, Evgeny Moiseev, reported that a fire had broken out at a shoe factory in Kislovodsk. The fire occurred on Chekhov Street and covered an area of 500 square meters. Preliminary reports indicate that one person was injured in the incident. Moiseev stated in a Telegram channel that the fire had spread to nearby residential buildings.
39 people and 10 firefighting vehicles are currently at the scene, working to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Moiseev urged residents to remove their vehicles from Chekhov Street to allow easy access for emergency vehicles.
Earlier on the same day, a fire broke out in a shopping and entertainment complex called "Europolis" in St. Petersburg, covering an area of 10 square meters. The fire in St. Petersburg has already been extinguished, and there have been no reports of any injuries.
