In Moscow, the season of corporate events has begun, and this year, a new trend has emerged: hiring fortune tellers and astrologers. Both regular office workers, mostly women, and senior management, mostly men, are eager to discover their future. "MK" spoke with fortune tellers in Moscow to find out what the working population wants from them.
Sofia, a tarot card reader, offers readings and rituals that only work once a year - conveniently, around New Year's. In late December, the prices for her services skyrocket. "I charge 160,000 rubles for a visit, for a group of up to 40 people. One day a year feeds me for the whole year," the fortune teller shyly says. For this amount of money, Sofia promises to read the tarot for the entire company and every employee, answer three questions, offer each person a talisman, and perform a money or love ritual. She even has a special costume: a black cloak and a headband. However, she refuses to dress up as a carnival magician, stating that she is a real fortune teller, not a clown.
Another fortune teller agrees to come to a corporate event for only 16,000 rubles, requesting only that her train ticket be paid for, as she comes from the Moscow suburbs. Her program also includes tarot readings and granting wishes throughout the year.
One of the fortune tellers gave a prediction for the upcoming corporate events season, which turned out to be quite ominous. She foresees conflicts and physical altercations. To avoid awkward situations, she advises against excessive involvement with a green snake. "Don't start arguments with your superiors or harass women," the fortune teller warns. She explains that the current period is marked by a rare phenomenon - the combination of Mars and Mercury in retrograde - and advises everyone to simply enjoy themselves.
For the Year of the Snake, it is even possible to hire a live snake, such as a python, as the event's symbol. However, the snake's schedule is quite busy and the price is high - starting from 40,000 rubles. According to the snake owner, their snakes are not ordinary but bring good luck.
In conclusion, the trend of hiring fortune tellers and astrologers for corporate events in Moscow is on the rise. Employees, from regular workers to senior management, are eager to discover their future and receive insights into their personal and professional lives.
