The Ministry of Justice in Russia has proposed new clothing regulations for prisoners, including changes in color and the addition of reflective stripes.

The Ministry of Justice in Russia has put forward a draft order for public discussion, which introduces innovations in the clothing regulations for prisoners. For instance, the color will change and the gray stripes will disappear, to be replaced by reflective bands on the prisoners' clothing.

According to officials, the project aims to approve a new, more comfortable and practical clothing for prisoners that fully takes into account the seasonal climate characteristics of Russian regions. The color for male prisoners will be changed from black to graphite, while for women it will be changed from green to burgundy. The new clothing will be distributed as it is produced.

In addition, new clothing items will be introduced for the first time. These include winter knitted hats, scarves, and t-shirts. Female prisoners will also have the option to wear pajamas, bathrobes, and leggings.
