A sedentary lifestyle and lack of physical activity pose a serious threat to heart and vascular health, as shown by the results of a study conducted by researchers from Massachusetts (USA). Scientists have found that even if you are actively involved in sports, but spend more than ten hours a day in a seated position, the risk of developing heart failure significantly increases. Experts emphasize that a sedentary lifestyle does not bring anything good. To maintain heart health, it is necessary not only to engage in physical activity for at least two and a half hours per week, but also to monitor how much time you spend sitting.
The study involved about 90,000 people and revealed a clear link between prolonged sitting and the development of cardiovascular diseases. This finding serves as an important reminder of the need for an active lifestyle to maintain health.
