A bag containing explosive material was found in the Berlin metro, according to German authorities. The bag was reportedly thrown by its owner while fleeing from police officers at the Neukölln metro station. Explosives experts detonated the substance in a controlled location. It is believed that the individual intended to carry a bottle with explosives, commonly used by Islamic radicals for terrorist acts.
